Who we are

P.A.N., a family owned and operated waste disposal company, has served this neighbourhood since 1980 -  that’s over 30 years!  As residents of Shawnigan Lake, we are so grateful to serve the community we and our children call home. 

What we do

We provide curbside pickup of:

When we do it 

Organics is collected weekly, and garbage bi-weekly.   For more information on what qualifies as Organics and what is Garbage, visit the Organics Program page.  

Where we are  

We operate out of Shawnigan Lake, and our service area covers the Cobble Hill, Mill Bay and Shawnigan Lake. 

The south-most part of Shawnigan Lake, known as Shawnigan Station, is no longer in our service area. Alpine is now the service provider. If you have any questions, please e-mail us and we will do our best to provide answers. 

Why we do what we do 

We want to do what is best for our customers, our community and for the environment.  We are committed to being leaders in programs that divert waste from the landfill, support effective disposal of waste components (such as organics), and reduce the overall environmental impact of our industry.

In addition, we recognize that this unique area deserves service that fits; smaller trucks designed for smaller streets and bridges, drivers who know the neighbourhood and the residents, and a company who cares about the things that make the Cowichan Valley such a wonderful place to live. 

One more thing...

We are a small family-run business. We drive the trucks, we run the office, we raise kids, we run a farm...you know how it goes. When you call the office, you are almost guaranteed to get the  answering machine.
