Previous Prepaid Customers: Payment Options
PO Box 1055, Cobble Hill, BC V8H 4C9
Does PAN provide Bins?We don't. Most customers have bins already, and we prefer that customers choose a size and style that works best for their own family.
We do ask that all (full) bins are labelled clearly, and that each bin is either:
How do I sign up?Provide the following information by e-mail [email protected] or telephone (250-743-3053):
I received a notice from PAN....Previous Customers on Prepaid: There are several reasons you might receive a notice; perhaps we haven't received payment and will be suspending service until your account is up-to-date. Perhaps your bags/bins are over the weight limit and our drivers cannot safely lift them. Perhaps you have exceeded the rate you have previously signed up for. Whatever the issue, call or e-mail [email protected] and we'll help you get things sorted out.
What about Yard Waste? While Yard Waste is organic, we generally do not collect it as part of the Organics program. You can take your yard waste, free of charge, to Fisher Road Recycling in Cobble Hill. Check their website for more information - or call to confirm.
I need to modify my account...Previous Customers on Prepaid: Call or email; even if you're in the middle of the billing cycle, we'll make that change for you and either credit your account, or send you an invoice for the amount owing. Quick and easy!
We don't need Service anymore...Whether you're moving or you are choosing other options, it's best if you let us know. While you may have stopped putting out garbage, it is unlikely that the driver will have enough of a sense of individual customers' regular habits that he or she will think to report that back to the office....so we're still going to send invoices and notices! Just get in touch (call or e-mail) and we will prorate your service on the date you contact us and we'll settle up your account with you.

You missed me! What do I do?While we wish it weren't so, we do miss our customers sometimes. But it's always good to be sure before you call.
Holiday HoursPAN drivers rarely take holidays, and as such, our routes don't shift much. If you are scheduled for service on a holiday Monday, put your bins out!
The exception to that rule is Christmas & New Years, when we like to give the drivers a day or two with their families. The schedule will be posted on our website - both the Home page and the Collection Schedules page - and outline which routes will be impacted. After New Years, we will return to our regular schedule. Snow Days....This past winter was tough - our general rule is that if schools are closed, we won't go out. Our trucks are not well-equipped for heavy snow or icy roads, and we don't want to put the public at risk.
In the event of a snow day, we will post the delays on our Home page, and will do our best to make up any missed routes as soon as possible. If snowy conditions persist for some time, there is a possibility that we won't make up the route until the following week - in which case, our drivers fully expect to collect extra! What if I can't wait for collection day?Fisher Road Recycling in Cobble Hill is a full-service waste disposal site. They take everything from compost and and regular household waste to recycling, and their rates are quite reasonable.
Bulk Pick-upsThere are times when you've got a lot. You may be a regular customer or a one-time user, but you've got so much garbage that you're going to need a special pickup. Send us an e-mail or give us a call - and we'll work it out. We'll give you a quote based on the volume, and decide if we can work the pickup into a regular route or if we need to set up a special pickup day. It can be done, and we'll help you do it.
We're going on vacation.Let us know when you're away, and we can suspend your account for the duration. That means that you're not paying for pickups you aren't using.
Why can't Garbage & Recycling be on the same day?CVRD manages the blue bin program, and PAN does the garbage & organics. We contacted the CVRD to see about aligning our routes, but it just turned out to be impossible to organize. So your Blue Bin days are set by the CVRD, and your Garbage/Organics days will remain as they are.
